IN LOVE with the Newly Renovated Marriott Grand Cayman Beach
We stayed at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach resort from Thurs 10/15 to Mon 10/19. We have stayed here twice before the hotel renovations. I’m in love with the new look and feel of the resort. It was also nice seeing some old faces like Baboo the security and the lady at the towel hut. They both remembered us too.

Resort
ACCOMMODATIONS
We are Gold platinum members so when I booked an oceanfront room I was upgraded to an oceanfront suite complimentary which was a great surprise since it was my husbands bday weekend. The receptionist at the front desk was very pleasant and set the tone for our great experience. We did mobile check in and our room was ready when we arrived at 1 pm. The room was very spacious with a microwave, fridge, wet bar and balcony with a perfect view of the ocean and pool. I loved the location of the room because we was on the third floor as soon as you walked down the stairs you’re at the pool area.
POOL/BEACH
We never had a problem with getting a beach chair at the pool or on the beach because it was not busy season. During busy season the chairs are very close to each other. The loungers out in the ocean are perfect for just relaxing in the sun. The staff sets up your chair and umbrella for you. In the evening they put out cucumbers and aloe gel to sooth your eyes and sunburn. The hotel is very very clean you can tell they take pride in the resort. This part of the beach is small and narrow but the ocean is crystal clear.
STAFF
The staff was always friendly and greeted us by name. We received phone calls to make sure everything was going great with our stay. The night before our last day we received a call from front desk asking if our stay was going great and if we needed anything. I asked if we can have late check out at 12:30 since our flight was later and he said no problem how about we make it 1? Excellent service. Which was so perfect for us. This is why we are loyal to our Marriott brand!!! (Link post is being loyal to a band width it.).
DINING
The hotel have pool and beach service. We ate lunch and had cocktails at the pool area. I had the fish tacos and my husband had the lobster tacos the first day . We thought they was delicious. We also ordered the nacho platter yummy!!! We ate at the breakfast buffet one morning. The staff there was top notch. I witnessed one of the waitresses interact with a family and she was so genuine with the kids. My waitress was very pleasant and made sure we wanted for nothing. The chef preparing the omelette was friendly and since I’m a foody we had pleasant conversation about the different options that he wanted me to try. The food was high quality. I loved the french toast and thai beef and milk bread the best!!! One day I had a coffee latte and croissant at Anchor and Den which was good. We stopped at the raw bar in the lobby and had oysters and cocktails.
We had a wonderful vacation. The weather was beautiful, the ocean was clear. The staff was nice You couldn’t ask for anything more.
Tip: Bring plenty of cash Cayman Island is not a budget friendly Island which we already knew. All prices are in Cayman dollars and it cost more in US money for example if your bill is 54.91 CI it will be 68.64 USD. They also already add a 16 percent gratuity to your bill at most restaurants. I can’t wait to return.
